Mobile EEG Service

TELEMEDX has just launched our new mobile / portable EEG services for the local Houston market.  We have taken our 33-years of experience in the field of EEG & Neurology and made it available to doctors and clinics in Houston, TX.  TELEMEDX will contract with each facility individually or a multiple location agreement can be arranged.

If you and/or your medical group would like to be able to provide EEG’s to your patients without the expense of hiring additional staff or the initial investment and capital expenditure that a current digital EEG machine requires, then we can help.

By choosing TELEMEDX for your EEG service you will be provided with the following benefits:  we will send a trained and qualified technician to your facility and our technician will bring the latest digital EEG equipment along with all the necessary supplies to perform each test.  Therefore, we will provide the technician, equipment, electrode system, and any other supplies required.  All EEG’s will be performed on site, letting your patients have their test done in the comfort of your own office.

Our services are available Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm (CST).  Each facility will schedule an EEG with TELEMEDX’s corporate office.  In order to assure our technician(s) will be present at the predetermined time and to prevent any scheduling conflicts, we recommend scheduling 3-4 patients in the same day. 

With TMX you will never receive any hidden or miscellaneous charges or any trip charges, our fee structure is simple and straight forward.  We have two types of mobile EEG service:

• TMX will only bill the hospital/clinic.  By choosing this type of service, your patients will not be billed by us or our physicians.  Your facility will be responsible for billing and collecting both the global and professional fee.  The per EEG fee will be a flat based fee that is predetermined and agreed to in our contract.  
• TMX will bill the patients for the technical component (TC modifier). We will only bill the patients that are pre-qualified and carry either Medicare or private insurance (i.e. Blue Cross / PPO’s).  For any patient that does not qualify (ex. Self pay, Medicaid), TMX will bill the facility at a predetermined rate.  Does your facility have a neurologist that wants to read their own studies?  Well, once the EEG(s) are completed, our technician will burn the studies to a CD-RW and leave it onsite for the interpreting physician.
